About Doorly
Doorly makes branded countdown calendars that turn an occasion into a daily ritual. One link, a new door every day, and a reason for people to come back tomorrow.
The idea is older than we are: opening a little door every morning in December is a genuinely lovely habit. What we've done is take that habit and hand it to businesses — so the thing behind the door is your story, your offer, or your surprise, wrapped in your brand.
Two products, one idea
Doorly for Teams is a 24-day murder mystery for your employees. Each day in December, everyone opens a door and gets another piece of the story — clues, suspects, twists — until accusations go in and a winner is crowned on Christmas Eve. It's hosted and managed, it works for remote and hybrid teams in any time zone, and it takes about five minutes to set up. It exists because December engagement usually means one party that half the company can't attend.
Doorly for Business is a bespoke calendar for your customers. You tell us about your brand and what you'd like behind each door — offers, giveaways, reveals, little moments of delight — and we design and build the whole thing by hand. You get a preview to approve, then a single link to share on Instagram, in your newsletter, or as a QR code by the till. It exists because plenty of small businesses already run a December countdown manually, at considerable cost to their sanity.
Why daily beats loud
Most seasonal marketing and most workplace engagement have the same flaw: they happen once. One email, one post, one party. A countdown works differently — it whispers every day instead of shouting once. Once someone has opened three doors, the fourth opens itself. That small, repeated habit is what builds the thing everyone actually wants, whether that's a team that feels connected or a customer who keeps coming back.
Who's behind it

Doorly is run by me, Sophie Aitchison. I design the stories, build the calendars, and answer the emails — which means when you brief a bespoke calendar, the person making it is the person you spoke to.
That's deliberate. There's no drag-and-drop builder to wrestle with and no template to fill in, because the whole point of a branded calendar is that it looks like your brand and not like software. Every business calendar is built by hand from your brief, and I keep the number I take each December deliberately small so that stays true.
